Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the QueryPilot Academy website at gyplautis.digital and the cohort programs delivered through it. Please read them carefully. By using the website or registering for any program, the visitor confirms acceptance of the terms set out below.
1. Termination of access
QueryPilot Academy may suspend or terminate access to the website, the cohort sandboxes, or any private learning channel where it has reasonable cause to do so, including persistent breaches of these Terms, conduct that materially disrupts other participants, or non-payment of fees properly invoiced. Termination is effected by written notice to the participant and is without prejudice to any rights and obligations accrued prior to the date of termination. On termination, the participant ceases to have access to the cohort sandboxes and private channels, although reasonable arrangements will be made for the orderly export of personal work product where practical.
2. Description of services
The services consist of online training programs in SQL database administration, including live cohort sessions, self-paced lessons, hands-on lab workshops, mentor feedback on submitted work, and corporate upskilling engagements. The website and the educational platform are provided on an as-available basis. QueryPilot Academy reserves the right to evolve the curriculum, replace lab tooling, and adjust the cohort calendar where doing so improves the integrity of the learning experience or reflects developments in the underlying database technologies.
3. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Use and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall, where possible, be addressed first by good-faith discussion between the participant and QueryPilot Academy. Where such discussion does not resolve the matter within thirty days, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Seoul Central District. Nothing in this clause prejudices the statutory rights of consumers under applicable Korean law.
4. Acceptance of terms
Use of the website, registration for a cohort, or attendance at any session constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use as in force at the time of such use. QueryPilot Academy may amend these Terms from time to time by publishing an updated version at this address; material changes affecting active participants will be communicated by email to the address used for registration with not less than fourteen days’ notice prior to the changes taking effect.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QueryPilot Academy shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or loss of data arising out of or in connection with the use of the website or participation in any program. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. The aggregate liability of QueryPilot Academy in respect of any single program engagement is limited to the fees paid by the participant for that program.
6. Participant obligations
Participants undertake to use the website and the cohort sandboxes lawfully and in accordance with reasonable instructions issued by mentors. Participants shall not share private cohort materials outside the cohort, shall not attempt to compromise the integrity of the sandboxes or other participants’ environments, and shall treat fellow participants with the courtesy expected of a professional learning setting. Suspected misuse may be investigated; persistent misuse is grounds for termination of access in accordance with section 1.
7. Intellectual property
All curriculum materials, lab scripts, recorded sessions, written notes, and platform interfaces are the intellectual property of QueryPilot Academy or its licensors. Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the materials for personal learning purposes during and for a reasonable period after the relevant cohort. Participants retain ownership of their own submitted work product; QueryPilot Academy may, with explicit written consent, anonymise that work for use in future cohort examples.
8. Fees and payment
Cohort fees are stated in Korean Won and inclusive of any applicable Korean value-added tax unless otherwise indicated at the point of registration. Fees are due in accordance with the schedule indicated on the registration confirmation. Late payment may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Refunds are addressed in the separate Refund Policy referenced from the website footer.
9. Third-party services
The cohort sandboxes and the website rely on third-party services for hosting, video conferencing, recording, and email delivery. QueryPilot Academy selects providers with appropriate operational practices and does not control, and is not responsible for, the underlying availability of those third-party services. Where a material outage of a third-party service affects a scheduled session, QueryPilot Academy will reschedule the session at the earliest reasonable opportunity.
10. Survival
The provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination — including those relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law, and any obligations regarding confidential cohort materials — shall continue in force following the conclusion or termination of any program engagement.
